I have a '95 Sunnybrook 26' TT that DW and I picked up Labor Day weekend. We love it. It's in great shape, and it is perfect for our family right now.The seller only had one key for the entry door. He had a spare for all the other exterior doors (cargo, electric, outdoor shower), which I keep in the TV glove box while traveling. I wouldn't mind having a spare key for the entry door, in case we're out hiking and lose the key, etc.I went to Winnebago's website, clicked on Sunnybrook, then the find a dealer option. It gave me a dealer roughly 2-1/2 hrs. away. Coincidentally, we will be camping next weekend in a N.C. state park right next door to the town where this dealer is located. So I called them yesterday and asked if they have keys. No. The nice gentleman said the best option was to install a new complete lockset. They have them in stock. $59. I can change it out myself. But I'm not sure I want to spend that kind of money just to get a spare key.Does anyone know any way, or anyone, who might have spare keys for older trailers like that? I'll bet someone somewhere has a key, but finding them is the challenge. Any ideas?

You can get keys from HERE if you can identify the locks.

Some of the high-end locksmiths should have your trailer key blanks in stock. You can just have a duplicate made. I went to all of the local hardware and dept stores around here looking for a key blank and didn't have luck but did find one at LOCKSMITH place and was able to get a duplicate made.You might check with a local RV dealer and see who makes their keys... Most of RV TRAILER keys are all the same - especially the storage doors etc... I too keep all of my spare keys in my truck which has a pushbutton key entry from the driver side door.We have found the RV Trailers are not a very secure thing... Before you go to any trouble...check out this recall.....if you have Fastec locks you may be affected.Fastec RecallIt took about 2 weeks for us to get our replacement locks for all 4 affected locks (we have a toy hauler so 2 on rear garage door + 2 entry doors). I asked if they could all be keyed the same, so now we only have to carry one key instead of 4......

I have made several sets of keys for a number of trailers and alwayse had good luck at local hardwear stores for most locks and key shops for the rest. Unless the key is stamped "do not duplicate " which is rare for a trailer

We had a spare made a local hardware store too... Tried all the chains with no luck but small mom and pop made it perfect.

I went with the RV lock. RVLOCK

A little pricy but very convenient. I have the wireless keypad next to the trailer door.

No one in the family needs to carry a key thus the trailer is always locked. No excuse for anyone to leave it unlocked.

When we are traveling and use a swimming pool at a campground do not need to worry about leaving a key in the locker area.

I keep the key for the rvlock in the tow vehicle in case of a battery failure in the rvlock.

My understanding is that there are a limited number of locksets/keys, so there are likely a lot of folks with the same key you need. Suggest you call the manufacturer with you VIN# in hand should they need it. Find out who manufactured the lockset and see if possibly the Sunnybrook customer service can supply you with additional or go directly to the lockset manufacturer. You could check with a local RV dealer/service center if all else fails. Our keys have a number engraved on them for the front and back doors and also the storage compartments. The number alone may tell them what they need to know.

Yeah, I'm sure there are not that many different combinations among TT manufacturers. We can probably nearly always find someone in any given CG who can get us into our storage compartments if necessary. Security doesn't go very far in a TT!

Yeah, I'm sure there are not that many different combinations among TT manufacturers. We can probably nearly always find someone in any given CG who can get us into our storage compartments if necessary. Security doesn't go very far in a TT!

Good post! I know you have the storage lock keys, but almost all of us can get in each others storage compartments!!!

Well, I'm a happy "camper" this morning. I never thought of hardware stores because, when we had our popup camper a few years ago, I tried them when needing a spare key for it. I finally gave up after stopping at a couple of stores in the area. No one had the blank.

We just had to run out to our DD's work a few minutes ago only a couple of miles away. I picked up her car so I can replace her brake pads while she's at work. There's a Town & Country hardware store just down the road from her work. $2.12 later, I have a spare entry key!
