Would you take the Spare?
I hope you are joking. Here is what is likely to happen.
You; "Hello, road service, I have a flat and do not have a spare."
Road service; "Sure, we can take care of you, the road service call is covered but; you will pay $200 for a ten year old used tire that is the wrong size. We will charge you $200 to mount it to your wheel. Since the driver doesn't have the tire with him but will have to go to the shop; he will arrive in about 6 hours."
Carry a spare and leave some of that unnecessary stuff at home.
