I've never torqued plugs. I usually tighten them by hand then a 1/4 turn with the ratchet but can always torque them too. The AC Delco 41-110s are pre-gapped at .040. There is a TSB (03-06-04-060A) on the 1999-2004 Silverados that puts the gap at .040 inches where the sticker on the radiator cover originally had the gap at .060. I check the gap on the new plugs at they were all correct. The wires connect the coil to the plug. No need to remove the coil, just pull the wire down and twist and they come off the bottom of the coil.
