The auto parts store I like has the replacement plugs that are iridium and are at the proper .04 gap so that is solved. A guy there who seemed to know his business was very sceptical that any of the garages actually bothered to torque spark plugs, but he agreed that was the proper thing to do. He confirmed I need the square version wire kit.
I changed out the fuel filter (easy with that youtube example). My plan is to see if that makes any difference towing up a hill floored before I do anything about the plugs and wires.
I will try to get one plug out before doing anything else about the plugs. If that goes ok, I will buy the parts and do it all myself. The youtube on that makes it look simple (sure!) If it turns into nightmare, I will have it done.
