I don't use a torque wrench on all the plugs. Just the ones that are easy to get to. From that I have a "feel" for how much to torque the rest.

Someone earlier said hand tight plus a quarter turn. That would strip the threads out of many heads out there. "Hand tight" is a very subjective term.
