Spread axle setup?

I see a few of the newer trailers being offered with what the dealer calls a spread axle setup with the wheels further apart and that is supposed to improve your towing experience.

Is this just dealer hype or a better axle setup?

Aht the others have said, and it also allows for a lighter TW for many of todays lighter TVs.

It's touted as a better towing setup.
IMHO it's a way to spread the load out over a lightweight frame. And tire scuff on tight turns is horrendous along with camber changes.
