- hussbussExplorerIf it is the plastic strip type, I just did all 3 on my TT. Get some 1/8th inch thick rubber like from an 0ld mud flap. Cut pieces 2 inch by about 6 inches long. Screw one end to the trailer frame, use existing holes, double up rubber strip and plastic piece, drill some holes thru both pieces and secure with heavy wire ties. Will last forever.
- dodge_guyExplorer IIThat’s all it is. Just find one that isn’t so strong that it pulls on the wires very hard!
- HondavalkExplorer IIDon't know if yours looks like an actual spring or a flex plastic strip but E-trailer probably would have it. Mine is the plastic strip.
A replacement part on E-Trailer, called Lippert Components single Flex guard strap. If yours broke were it folds, common problem you could repair it by pop-riveting or screwing a door hinge at the break. Did mine that way years ago. - Boband4ExplorerMine looks like a screen door return spring from Home Depot.
