There is only one way to find out if your 19.5's will work in the snow. Why? There is snow/ice and there is snow/ice and the splay of conditions can change from one minute to the next. The question is, what are you going to do if your tires start to spin or your rig starts to meander off the road? There is no deflating 19.5's for floatation. So, it is either having the appropriate tire for that particular moment in traction time, one with lots of winter sipes, or having studs or tire chains. The 100% effort is tire chains. I even have different chains for different conditions. A set of cable chains have endured well and are a lot easier to adjust with that 4"square, 2x4 block under the wheel. I also have some left over HD actual truck chains with welded V blocks which are THE 100% effort, but a tough install and heavy to haul around in that size.
The point here is the ever changing nature of snow and ice you are likely to encounter. Just have a plan 'B' if you loose traction and have a great trip. Post up some pics of your encounter with the big white one.
I did beat old man winter one time with my '66 Land Cruiser with real chains on all 4, 10 inch wide wheels. It was simply unstoppable in 3-1/2 feet of new snow. The rig just kept churning away making forward motion even uphill. Of course, I was just a kid with a new toy and wouldn't think of expending that much energy now.
