Rincon, I suspect we will never see any really good body of data gathered on all this, because as much as "we" here in consumer trailer world like to think about, and talk about all this, in the larger scheme of overall traffic and vehicles on the road, we're still a small minority. Makes it awful hard to gather good data.
I also agree that LT tires that have "an agressive tread design" are likely not a good candidate for trailer use. I believe Roger M has alluded to that as well, as I recall.
It seems the most appropriate LT's for trailer use are the rib pattern tread design, from what I gather.
