I haven't "tripped" with the carrier and stool yet. My last trip was to Tulsa a few weeks ago for chilibowl.com and I used the scissor steps. **Big warning**: Tulsa had an ice storm while I was there. The scissors steps accumulated about 1/4" of ice on them. I stepped out and dang near busted my butt. One of those incidents where you look around to see if anyone was looking at you. (There's a song in there somewhere). Couldn't see the ice on the steps either. Being from Houston, I don't relate to ice storms. Anyway...I think the stool will work. It's just a 2 step Rubbermaid from Amazon. The "tongue" on my carrier places it about right in relation to the rear of the camper. The carrier was very woobly until I put a hitch tightener on it. You may need a short hitch extension. My carrier isn't but 26" deep.
I had a small cabover years ago and used plywood steps covered with astroturf that the previous owner made. Stored them inside the camper door.
I had a local TC dealer price the bumper/steps that Bigfoot currently uses. It was $2,000. No thanks.
My other thought was this if the stool doesn't work:

You should be plenty good on weight, but I would CAT scale it just out of curiosity.
Cool website ya got. Go for it.
