Starcraft Launch 16RB

We've had a used 1999 Rockwood Premier pop-up and now we're considering buying a new 2013 Starcraft Launch 16RB - http://www.rvingplanet.com/brands/starcraft/launch/expandables/ .
Does anyone have experience with them? Satisfaction, problems? How does Starcraft compare to other makes? Are there comparable hybrid trailer models by other makers? Thanks very much!
  • the Launch is a relatively new line of hybrids for Starcraft.
so, there probably won't be much feedback on that brand.

but Starcraft has a very good rep with their hybrids, except when Jayco shut the factory down, for a few years, and sold re-badged Jayco trailers as Starcraft trailers.

and where have you got your prices for the Jayco and the Roo?
have you got prices on those, from RVW or RVDirect?

and finally, please use the simple Link button to make the URL addresses clickable, so we don't have to cut and paste the address.:(
  • Thanks very much Ryan, first of all glad to know you were so happy with your Starcraft. You are righht about Jayco and Starcraft. As for size and price, the Jayco Feather Lite x17z is $3500 more than the Starcraft Launch 16rb. Another nice one is the Rockwood Roo, but that is also $3500 more than the Launch.

    Thanks again,

  • I would start by saying our first pop-up was a Starcraft, the RT10. LOVED that thing! I actually sometimes wish i had it back but the hybrid fits us (my wife) much better. LOL! I looked at the starcraft 16rb floorplan and noticed it was 11" narrower than the Jayco x17z, while the unloaded weight was only 115 lbs more. I am not sure if there is a huge price difference but if there isn't that 11"s might go a long way for comfort. plus the additional storage cabinets. We have the x17z and often get in each others way on long stays and there is only three of us. If i am not mistaken Jayco owns Starcraft and until recently all were manufactured out of the same facility. Just my thoughts. Good Luck with whatever you decide!
    Ryan.
