Ah batteries..Which kind is really the best..LOL
In my work logging, we all camped in one spot usually..Usually 6-10 people and rigs in one place, and all the RV's in some shape were there..The batteries ranged from 6-volt/12 volt(Car and RV) to a 8D tractor battery, running furnaces for some, all day while we worked..
Charging was from jumper cables to portable chargers off a generator..The winner was..The 8D tractor starting battery with a big portable charger...The car and RV battery did about the same, being charged daily..The 6 volt guy had to change to 12 volt batteries when one of the batteries started to fail, they would run out really fast compared to the rest..
My opinion on batteries for an RV is,the expensive ones are not worth the cost..My last set of two group 27 el-cheapo batteries were still going strong after 7 years years of use, when I sold the trailer.
I used to run my batteries, car and RV,until the screen on the TV started to shrink or the furnace fan started fading..Hey,it worked just fine.
I have four batteries in my pickup wheel wells, each independent from the other. One for the whole TC/one for the TV/one for the DVD player and one for odds and ends and the C-Pap.When one fades,I charge it back up..I carry two portable chargers in my TC...
To each his own on batteries and how to boondock the best way and get the most he can out of the batteries..I never throw out or dispose of a battery when I get to keep the core buying a new one..
