storing grey water tote under trailer

i just bought a 32gal Barker 4 wheel tote for my 2016 Salem 272QBXL. I would like to make some sort of support in order to transport the tote under my TT. Does anyone have any pics of something they have built? The other option I was considering was a BAL hide-a spare.

Thanks

  • My 18 gal. tote happens to fit between the supports under the trailer right behind the axle. its held in place w/ a ratchet strap, I don't mind getting it out as we don't use it that much, and I don't like having it in the way
  • I am another one that built a rack off my TT's rear bumper to carry it.

It works out perfectly -No messy, nasty wheels to put in the truck bed!

  • Someone on this forum used his BAL Hide-a-spare tire carrier to carry his tote tank.
  • If you go to Goggle Images and type in "carrying Barker Blue tote," you will see many, many pictures of how it is being done. Lots of different ideas there.

Would you happen to have a couple pictures of your set up? Great idea!!!

And it makes the wheels start to turn (oh no, we are in trouble now!!!) and has me wondering IF a cheaper dolly like that could be turned into a set up like the BAL Hide A Spare???

  • I would prefer not to have it in the bed of the truck since I keep 4 bikes back there, not to mention having to store the tote in the garage or shed. I don't have a ladder on back and have an outdoor kitchen so there is a grill on my back bumper. Real estate is at a premium back there.
  • What are you towing with..........truck just put in truck bed.

Hanging underneath trailer just sounds like problems.
Getting it out/putting it away, ground clearances/damage.

    BAL hide-a spare. Looks interesting.....

Got a ladder on rear of RV. Lots of folks hang them totes there
