I need to evaluate all my options and I sure would like more information on which cover you purchased and from which supplier. Good idea on covering the down spouts with tennis balls; did you cover any vents on the roof? Do you remove any snow during the winter to lessen the accumulation? I see an extension cord from your utility shed to the camper; please explain? Thanks for your response.
1. ADCO from Camping World for a 8.5' camper. I see they have a new model on their website.
2. No, I do not cover the vents with anything additional. We have very dry snow up here, so not much weight to it. For the tennis balls, I just cut an X into them so they fit tightly over the spouts.
3. I have not removed any snow the past two winters, but neither were record shattering snowfall years. I've seen people use plastic wash tubs placed upside down over them to keep snow weight off.
4. I plug the camper into 120v AC from the shed. I keep the camper in ready to use condition, except for water in the winter, as an emergency shelter. We have 100's of earthquakes each week up here and power outages from winds, snow, down trees, etc. The cover opens with two zippers at the door and can be removed in minutes.
