It might have something to do with an inferior frame.
2014 Ford vs Ram
A chassis that flexes or bends under excess load rather than breaks in two from stress cracks? Are you suggesting you can't break or bend a Ram's chassis? I tip my hat to the Hemi and Cummins engines but, I'll take a Ford Superduty pickup over the Ram any day. The "moron challenge" in the video is totally irrelevant for everyday use of HD pickup trucks. Even real trucks flex.
Actually Hannibal, the excessive frame flex when heavily loaded is the apparent cause of many of the radiator failures in the 6.4L diesel trucks. VIDEO
That could go either way. The radiator should be fitted to accommodate frame flex. I'm not having any problem with frame flex in our 5.4L Superduty. Nor am I having to plan on changing out those dried out ball joints that troubled my '03 and '05 2500HD Rams. No AAM troubles out back either. The Sterling rear end is still solid. Just the same, if I ever go back to diesel, it'll be another Cummins Ram.
You would think the bed would be fitted to accommodate frame flex too but I guess with that much flex it would be hard to haul loose gravel in the bed without loosing it through the tailgate seem. LOL! jk
