Stumped about switch

We have owned a Starcraft 28BHS for a week now. There is a switch on the panel that I cannot figure out what its' purpose is. I called the dealer and they don't know either. They said they would call the manufacturer to find out - and alas - haven't called back. The manual that comes with the trailer does not have an explanation and is pretty generic in the trailers that it covers (boo).

There are five switch areas on the control panel area to the left of the door when you walk in. One extends/retracts the awning. Another turned on the lights for the interior and exterior. One brings the slide in and out. The fourth displays the status of all of the tanks and batter. Then - there's this little bugger on the top right of the group. Labeled "ON/OFF" - and I cannot figure out what it does.

Does anyone have a clue? Anyone with a Starcraft 28BHS?

thanks - david

  • I once had some confusion on a switch. My scare lights switched on independently. One switch for each side. Took awhile to figure that one out.
  • 4X4Dodger - I just called Starcraft. They're sending an inquiry down to the tech floor to get some answers. They said that It also might be a dummy switch as well. I'll post what they say when they call me back.

  • Pull the panel and see if it is even connected. It just may be a spare for some option you dont have.
  • Nope - tried the lights. The step light is controlled by the awning light switch.
  • An outside light for the dump connection? Our Starcraft HTT had one.
  • I know it's not the water heater, that, as well as the water pump, is on the panel with the tank levels. I'll check the outside lights in a bit to see if that's it.
    thanks
  • On my Starcraft I have one unlabelled switch which turns on the outside lights, there is one light on the front entry side and one on the rear opposite side which come on.

There is also a switch at the nightstand by the bed which operates the same lights, it is a 3 way switch. Not sure why they don't label it.
