So just received my prodigy 2 in the mail from amazon, I ordered it with the wire harness for my ford F150. Got it installed and for some reason the unit wont turn on. Checked the fuse box and the fuse is in for the trailer brake, I even tried activating a trailer in the truck settings and still nothing? Am I doing something wrong? We are getting ready to head up north on a 350 mile travel and would really like ti get this thing working before we leave! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No I did not try that, but something to consider.

If there is power to the unit, there should be two small LEDs lie on the read-out, trailer or no trailer connected.Are you sure you got the proper harness?Also, using a test light, see if there is power at the plug that connects to the unit.

Last year, I ordered ours just days before a trip and it wouldn't work. I called the place I ordered from and through a phone consultation with the tech, we determined that they had actually packaged the wrong wiring harness into the wrong packaging! It worked out, as he directed me on how to reconfigure the pins.

Ok so I contacted the seller on amazon and he tells me he sent the right harness and there is something wrong with my trucks connection point or I have a blown fuse. Checked the fuse panel and fuse is fine, know I'm stumped. Guess I learned a valuable lesson on ordering certain things online.

On my Expy it doesn't power up until I hit the brakes the first time. It goes in sleep mode with the truck off to keep from draining the battery.

It should show something without the trailer attached, I know my p3 did. I second the wrong connector thought. Also double check all connections are tight.

I only get two dots, or NC, if I hit brake pedal. Unit appears dead until then. You might try that as it is easy.

I did the same thing on my 2007 Cheverolet, plugged it in with the wiring harness, turned on the key and got the NC. When hooked up I get the connection plus it activates when I hit the brake pedal. No problems with it.

I have the P2. Mine flashes "nc" on vehicle start for not connected. Doesn't need the 7 pin plugged in to work. Sounds faulty or, wrong pigtail.
I ordered the Ford connector and it was plug n play.

Are you sure you got the proper harness?

Also, using a test light, see if there is power at the plug that connects to the unit.
