I almost did this! I was talked out of it though the by the gentleman that installed my B&W 18k slider hitch. I thought it was going to be the perfect solution and I was ready to fork out the dough. He was telling me that the sidewinder puts so much side to side pressure on the hitch that it would weaken it over time and could be a cause of concern and possible safety issues over time. I was kind of bummed about it. He did offer to install a reese or curt hitch instead of the B&W though if I wanted to proceed with the sidewinder and at that point I decided to stay away from that pin box.
FYI - if you decide on the Reese Sidewinder as a pin box upgrade then do not get the B&W hitch. B&W states specifically you can't use the sidewinder or any other pin box that relies on a wedge and transfers the pivot point backward with their line of hitches.
