Another note on slider hitches. I was visiting a local RV dealer a few weeks ago. A gentlemen had just purchased a new 37 ft. 5th wheel and had a new Pull-Rite slider hitch installed on his late model Chevy 2500 SB. Just as he was pulling out to the right, the rear of his king-pin contacted the side of his bed. Doubt his truck was more than a 50-60 degree angle to his 5th wheel. Fortunately he stopped before doing any damage.
Have no idea why this occurred. But, it just goes to show not all 5th wheel hitches are a simple case of plug and play. Lot of issues with clearance and such that need to be considered.
