I would mount the REAR MOUNTED CAMERA as high above the roadway as I could get it. Then you can aim the camera down somewhat for best view of what is behind you. If it is mounted close to the same height as the headlight beams from approaching cars it will flare up big time at night making it almost impossible to see anything behind you.
