We have an H&H carhauler as you describe. We use a Reese WDH with no troubles. My bars are on the light side 500# for a 10K trailer but it works out. This way my bars are a little higher, more arch. I have not had trouble with scraping except to leave the driveway, we live on a hill and the street has lots of crown. What drags is the bottom ball mount, the nut of the ball. Maybe 20,000 miles on the road and no problems with the hitch. Its been all over the country, east of the Denver area.
That reverse Camco WDH looks interesting, but not something that I need.
Good Luck.
