Survey on new technology for truck campers

The question is purposely vague, and purposely worded (i.e. the "more and more" part) to elicit this response. I'm not surprised that they got the precise outcome they were looking for.

Nothing was said in the question about "gadgets" yet everyone immediately "went there."

Technology could mean a lightweight honeycomb structure that is virtually rot-proof and knocks several hundred pounds off the weight of the camper. You gonna scream "NO! NO! NO!" to that?

Yah, I'm "Yes and No".... on new tech.

But need to make it easier to ADD stuff as needed...
As noted above, the more tech, the more possibility of something going wrong, so like the switches.. on/off, simple. I'm still trying to figure out the Radio thing.

but? Would like to see an easier way to add stuff, WeBoost WiFi to roof without drilling stuff, which I'm really afraid to do... and will have it done professionally... $$$ I"m sure...

I guess I'll go against the grain. I love tech gadgets and have installed quite a few already such as battery monitor with smartphone app, inverter, usb plugs, solar panels + controller etc. Soon to have the levelmate installed as well.

I'm an IT guy though so it's up my alley.

I don't read that site mainly because it is redundant to this one and seems to be mostly limited to companies who will advertise there. Any way ...

I don't have a TC but, I agree. Less technology in a camper is better.

I can find my way to the local grocery store without a GPS or a cell phone.
And I don't have to take twenty pictures of myself at the store and let the whole world know I just bought a quart of milk.

But, that's me, maybe I'm just strange. :@

Bad enough I have an Inverter (electronic) genny and a microwave (electronic. Forgot the electronic controls on the fridge... Hope they don't break...lol

Answered on there (and was published) and here.... NO. Keep it simple. Gadgets break and most times cannot be fixed at a campsite.

The less 'electronic gizmo's' I have to deal with, the better.
