Suspension add on's

Question for the engineer types. If.
The rear bumper lowers 2 inches or so when the fifth wheel landing gears are retracted, then air bags are installed and inflated sufficient to raise the rear bumper back to its original position.
Has the load distribution between the front and rear axles changed?
  • It would seem to me that if the rear of the truck goes down.....then front has to come up. And it in fact does.
So if the front is moving up it must be now lighter.?
Though in my example of 2" , there would be very few pounds difference I would think.
  • No. The weight distribution between the front and rear axles will be essentially the same with air in the air bags or without.

It might a little, but why would you want to do that? I don't.
