My Half Ton has 1,800 lbs of payload. There are many Crew Cab F150 Max Tow’s and Silverados NHT half ton trucks that would have right at 2,000 lbs of payload and sufficient tow rating to handle this rig. Please note that I am not saying all half tons but there are several and they are relatively common to find, you just have to look a little for them.
Thanks!

The F150 with Max Tow still wouldn’t have enough payload. It would need to have the HD Payload package. He’d be better off with a 1 ton Express or 2500 Suburban anyway.
Idk I’ve seen some with about 1900 and change In payload. If 50 ish lbs makes a difference then we are talking semantics and splitting hairs.
Suburban 2500 with 2,000 lbs payload = OK
F150 with 19xx lbs of payload is not okay.
This line of thought doesn’t makes sense to me.
I would probably buy a 3/4 ton truck to tow this trailer but there are half ton trucks that can get the job done.
Thanks!

What line of thought? That more payload is better? Or that to get the max payload in an F150 requires the HD Payload package?
My uncle has a 2011 F150 EcoBoost Crew Cab Max Tow. Door jamb says 1,400lbs available payload. My Suburban has around 2,200 lbs of payload. I’m sure a smaller cab F150 would have more payload - but the OP needs a CC or bigger.
