Trying to find a sway bar for our new truck and wanted the Big wig like on our last truck but seems that there are fitment issues with the ram 3500 DRW when it has the gas engine due to the rear resonator location anyone have this issue ? Some fitment charts actually say diesel only. Anyone have good results/fitment with other brands? I did call Hellwig and they sounded like this is news to them but did repeat the diesel note Thanks Mike

Someone else mentioned this and I was able to compare my father's 2016 diesel to my 2015 6.4. It does indeed appear to be the resonator causing the problem. Easy solution is to rework the tail pipe to either move the resonator back a few inches or just eliminate it complete. I would have to crawl back under his taking measurements of his Hellwig bar and then comparing to mine to be absolute sure along with figuring out how much it would need to be moved.

The Ram DW 3500 diesel is not fitment free either.On my 2015 I had to smash a dent in the tail pipe to clear the hanger as well as drill an access hole in the spare tire shield for access to the bolts on that side.

It appears Roadmaster makes a rear sway bar for the 2017 with leaf springs.

Ok,I will add my experience with the Big Wig on my 2016 Ram 3500 Dually. I have the Torklift Superhitch, I have Pac Spring airbags both installed on the truck already, I called and spoke with the factory before purchasing the sway bar, specifically about fitment issues with the aftermarket air bags and the Torkslift hitch. The person I spoke with at the factory told me, "No Problem It Will Bolt Right Up No Fitment Issues".... I knew this was not really going to happen with the Torklift Hitch, but whatever I had to have a swaybar and a big one, with the exception of fabricating my own swaybar setup myself at our race-shop, I figured I would be able to figure out whatever was needed.I bolted up to the axle no problem, however the links did not work as I thought with the Torklift Superhith, the saddle to hold the swaybar end did not align up correctly and the Superhitch was WAY in the way.I had to fabricate an additional bracket to allow the links to be in double shear, and weld the brackets to the Superhitch and the frame on the truck.Yes, there is some major fabrication needed to make the fit with Torklift Superhitch. I had zero fitment issues with any exhaust components. This addition to the truck is not for the squeamish or someone that does not have some fab skills or access to them. This is for the Big Wig 1 5/16" swaybar with Superhitch reciver ONLY. I don't know about the other applications.Rob
