If a trailer doesn't have a well made and designed frame with properly aligned axles and the proper tongue weight, they can be very dangerous on the road. When the trailer weighs close to or more than the tow vehicle, and it doesn't tow well, you can have some serious issues. If you add brakes that aren't working properly, or the controller not adjusted properly, you now have an accident waiting to happen. There are so many variables, but a trailer that inherently doesn't tow well is major problem. A WDH may mask some of the inherently dangerous issues with a trailer like this. You shouldn't need a WDH to get a trailer to tow well. If you do, you have serious issues that should be addressed.
