Sway Control Upgrade

Like was said, if you only have one bar.. add a second $20.00 bar from Harbor Freight and see if that eliminates the remaining wiggle you have.

If you just have to have a more expensive hitch then go for it. I'm personally not a fan of Dual Cam and if I were choosing a hitch other than a standard WD hitch it would probably be the Equal-i-zer or the Blue Ox...

My next hitch is probably going to be an Eaz-Lift/Curt/ProSeries/Harbor Freight round bar hitch of the appropriate weight rating with two sway bars... I have ran a WD hitch with two bars when I had our last RV and it was a very positive experience... Especially once the WD was dialed in.

Looks like a Hensley is the way to go or at least the owners think so. Never felt the need for one.

I went with the Blue OX Swat pro. It has thus far preformed very well. No squeaking/creaking on the road or in the campground. I have used many Blue Ox products without a problem.

It sounds like you went to a much larger trailer. If you have only one bar, add a second. You will always get some blowing around from trucks and such, but it shouldn't be that noticeable. My Outback is 36'6" total and sway is not at all a problem. If you just want a different hitch, go fer it.

A friend has the Blue Ox Pro and loves it. I've got the Equalizer and it's good too.

With that much trailer, not unusual to feel big trucks and high wind. I've been very happy with my Blue Ox on two trailers over eight years.

No reason for a trailer to sway on its own. Weights, capability of tow vehicle, balance, alignment, tires, etc.. Then bolt on your hitch of choice for a great towing experience.

I don't necessarily have a sway "problem". I do experience it when passing trucks, or with wind, and whatnot. From what research I came up with it sounds like the standard friction bar is probably not enough for a trailer the size I tow. We upgraded trailers a couple of years ago and the dealer just switched the hitch from our old trailer. That is why I am looking to get something a little better.
