I have only ever had one vehicle that had stud bolts rather then studs and nuts..... it was a 1996 Audi A4.
I would love ALL my vehicles, trailers included, to have stud bolts rather then studs and nuts (exactly the opposite of what you're planning) I found them to be more exact when mounting, cleaner threads, less corrosion, easier to handle with gloves, no cracking like the lug nuts often do, less rust... all around better.
