Synthetic Oil for Towing?
I have a 2007 Chev 2500HD 6.0L gas with 36K Are there any benifits of using say Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic for the towing season? Or is regular 5w30 just as good?

Mobil1 5quart jug at Wally World is usually about 25 or less. I don't think that's a significant price difference over conventional oil.
Oh, and mineral oil does break down at higher temperatures, which is why jet engines use synthetic oil. Of course your truck engine won't see that temperature, it can benefit from synthetic.
