Synthetic Oil for Towing?
I have a 2007 Chev 2500HD 6.0L gas with 36K Are there any benifits of using say Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic for the towing season? Or is regular 5w30 just as good?

GM uses DEXOS approved oils, conventional/synthetic blend, in engines that spec it. You make it sound like it comes factory filled with a better blend and by running conventional you're doing a disservice to your engine.
if your engine specs conventional run conventional. get a oil analysis with a tbn if you're that worried about it.
