Isn't full synthetic oil a completely manufactured product with the round molecules?
Isn't Semi synthetic made with mineral base oil blended with synthetic oil with few round molecules?
Isn't non synthetic lube oil pure mineral oil base with certain additives to make a spec, with no round molecules?
Isn't most of the trouble with modern diesel engine lube oil contamination tied to EGR - exhaust gas (soot) recirculation back into the cylinders?
Isn't changing oil more often than necessary fun? Especially a diesel? :)
I read someplace Cummins is expected to no longer need EGR in 2016 to meet emissions due to advances in technology.
