Just had a question for you folks. When is it ok to change out the old dino oil and replace it with synthetic? I just changed our oil at about 10,000 miles, second change, and wonder if I should loo...

Even over at "bobistheoilguy" the conventional wisdom is your motor will not last any longer using synthetic over conventional. As long as you use the right spec.
And if you look at fleet stats that holds true. The California Hwy Patrol uses reclaimed oil for 100K, then taxi fleets buys those cars and put another 100K on them.

Key is that most of them do NOT turn their vehicles off as often as
I do, nor do their vehicles sit 'off' for hours or over nite, but are
kept running most of any 24 hour day.
Similar to that other poster who asked about what NASCAR engines use.
Out of context that too, as who has a 'built' engine that can turn +9K RPM's ?
With that analogy, why not use what super bikes use? They turn in the
+16,000 RPMs and their engine oil a bit more $ than most car engine oils...
You do know that 'most' of all engine wear (normal folks) is from
'dry' starts, right? That then has more weight on the oils film strength
and filter anti-drain-back valve
