Tailgate Clearance

TT has an LCI Electric Tongue Jack but when connected to TV will not allow the tailgate to open more than about half way. It looks like a few more inches of clearance would allow tailgate to fully open, but only option I can find is a manual tongue jack. Does any one know of any other tongue jacks or mods that would get me the few inches I am looking for?

    I may have just found a solution. I have an Equalizer hitch which I believe has a 12" X 2" shank. Equalizer has an 18" X 2" shank which will give me an additional 6" of clearance which should be enough to allow the tailgate to open.

    Believe the jack on our HTT and the new TT are both Ultra 3500's and there is plenty of clearance for the tailgate on our F-150 to open. Possible your truck has a higher/taller bed, so a bigger tailgate. Have never heard of this before.

    Sounds to me like all you can do is have a welding shop move the location of the jack. Or put a air gate on like 5th wheeler's use if that would give you your clearance.
