I'm currently looking at getting a Bestop bumper step for my RAM 2500. Trucks have gotten so tall in recent years and it's just about a groin ripper to hike my short legs up in the bed. I need to get something like this to make it easier in and out of the truck.

I have the AMP version of this step. Great!!
They make them for Mopar also but is covered under the Mopar warranty. It can be ordered as a dealer installed option on all Rams. They have them for the dual exhaust trucks now also.
As for the GM step, way to complicated and I can bet it will cost you or your insurance company a ton of cash if that tailgate ever needs to be replaced! Ford still has the best Man step hands down.

The AMP style shown on the Toyota is available as an aftermarket add on for GM products. I have one on my GMC and I think it is pretty hard to beat and very easy to install.
