- Paul_G_ExplorerIf you take it in, pay special attention to how they jack it up. I brought mine in last week and the guy was going to jack it up under the axle about 1 foot or so away from the spring block. Good thing I was there an noticed this, I told him he would likely bend the axle if he did it his way. His response was, I always jack it there, I told him not on mine. I told him the owners manual says under the spring block, he'd never heard of this but complied with my request. Come to find out he had just bought a new travel trailer and was thanking me for the information. His approach to jacking kind of surprised me as he has worked at this tire shop for several years. Just wonder how many axles he has bent over that period of time.
Paul... - DrbolaskyExplorerI've done it both ways. I've always had the tires balanced.
- TerryallanExplorer IINo you may not need to balance the tires, But I do. The TT shakes enough any way, without adding the shake of unbalanced tires. And to be truthful. You can feel the tire shake in the TV. I put new balanced tires on my TT, and could not believe the difference in the ride in the TV.

There is no wrong way.
I just did this and just took my wheels in because I did not want to haul my trailer 30 miles away to the tire shop. I just did 2 at a time.
I would have took my trailer in if it was right next door.
X2, tire shop on the way to work..

I would also suggest getting them balanced. it`s more than just the ride, it is for bearing longevity and if they are extremely out of balance there could be possible handling issues!
