I tried on a 1997 5.4 years ago and stopped when I had to remove the fuel rail and took it in I think it was $525 then for plugs wires and labor. Good luck.
Surprisingly, access seems relatively good. Only the passenger rear looks a little tight. I'm gonna set up my Wing ladder scaffold and a plank and cover up the fenders good, because I'll probably end up laying on the engine bay. Gotta watch the wiring and hoses. I hear one person say they had to remove the computer bracket to get the far one on that side, but I'm not sure yet. The other 7 look pretty easy. 'Course, access is only half the battle.
I went into Advance Auto today looking for a socket and the girl behind the counter tried to talk me out of it! Just told her, "I ain't skeered". Yet.
I'm a mechanic, ferpete'ssake! How hard could it be????:R
