I did the plugs on my sons f150, broke 2 or 3 had not heard about the issues with the plugs. read the tsb on how to do and they worked just fine. Bought the tool from napa ($100) and figured it out pretty fast. If you break one you really have to crank down on the broken plug to get the tool to bite. Got a small vacuum hose kit for the small house vac and sucked it clean.
Follow the TSB, about 1/4 turn and soak with carb cleaner. Get the high temp antisieze from a specialty house about $25 for the jar. Slop them up good and get it on the extended portion of the plug, but away from the tip. He has about another 50K on the engine now and still runs like a top. The plugs were about $15 each, how much are they now?
