That's my dream. Being in Ontario our weather is nuts. One whole week without rain? Ha! You get used to tarping everything because of how often the freak t-showers happen.

If you are talking about using a tarp when storing your pop-up, when yes. We always put a trap over our pop-up when storing the trailer. Using a trap helps cut down on sun rot, water damage and fading. The canvas on our pop-up (which I gave to my son) is over ten years old and still in great shape.
