TC Alternator Connection Diode

Have you seen this "diode" that is apparently dead?

Truck manufacturer's don't use a "diode" between the truck electrical system and the RV charging circuit. There's be a relay or solenoid of some sort.

In my Pre-2015 GM truck, the line is hot all the time, so I added a solenoid.

Then later I did a massive upgrade to the charging link
