This is why I designed an internal vent system for my Tundra fridge and had Outfitter build my camper without those external vents. I just have a small access door.
The fridge draws cool air in via a 12V pancake fan through vents at the bottom of the closet wall and door. It exhausts hot air out through vents at the top of the wall/door as well as one on the face of the cabinet over the fridge.
As far as you situation, what others have done was to pull the fridge out and wrap the sides/top in more insulation and then seal up the area at the front.
