I guess we are the odd balls. We hardly ever used our oven & generator on our last camper so we bought the current camper without them. Now we have lots of storage space. I bought a Coleman Camp oven which is used on the stove top. Only used it once in a year. That said, I love fresh baked bread right out of the oven. That is what I mostly ate as a kid. Mom made a bread with a mixture of whole wheat, white & rye flours. Boy was it yummy. I wish I could re-create it. If I could, I would make some & bake it in my little Coleman oven while camping. I can taste it now.
When we traveled in Germany we would carry a cooler in the car & buy cold cuts, cheeses & fruits & veggies to put in it. We would stop at a bakery & buy that delicious rye bread they make without the caraway seeds (ohne kummel). Wish I could find a place that made that kind of bread around home.
