Forgive me but I do not understand the reasoning for choosing this place when just 50 miles away is the Grande Ronde river valley with beautiful trees with nice shade, wilderness and the Blue mountains all around. Nice cooler temps in the day and at night its snuggle up temps in the low 40's high 30's in summer. Last time there it was so wonderful to escape the heat and be in the wild. Fees were only 10 bucks a night.
