Forgive me but I do not understand the reasoning for choosing this place
Nearly everyone at the rally incorporated this as part of a much longer trip, so it's nice to have power, laundry facilities, activities to do that are nearby, a facility to hold meals in, prize give-aways, etc.
One couple has been on the road 7 weeks and on their way home from Alaska.
For me, this is the first stop on a 2 week trip.
A lot of planning and thought (and research) went in to planning it at this location. The event organizers said "nearly everyone that attends a rally wants to do it at a place that has hookups." This group has organized quite a few rallies in the past and having power hookups is a number one requirement attendees always request, even though everyone here is fully equipped and capable of off-grid remote camping.
