On Sunday I got out the grill and set it up. I'll be honest, we're disappointed with the mounting of this grill as well as location, the lighter and the rack itself.
First the location sucks. AF could have bumper mounted the grill easily and I will probably do that myself by removing the mount they poorly installed on the ladder (which would work fine if the camper were on the ground I think) and mounting it on the bumper to the left of the steps. I'll have to add some 2" angle iron (aluminum actually) to provide support but it will be fine over there when on the truck.
Second, the lighter doesn't work well at all and I usually end up pulling out the camp lighter (butane) and using it instead.
Third, the rack is weak and tilts downward. On our last camper (tent trailer) we had the same type of rack and a cheaper grill and frankly, it was a LOT better. For the money I think AF could have done a lot better here.
I believe we can just set this on a table actually, as the base does not seem to get hot so we'll probably do that as we like having it but don't like the location.

I tried to get a better pick of the double hitch and truss setup for you all but this one isn't very good. Suffice to say it seems to work well and while I wouoldn't tow 12k with it I'm ok with the 4k I do tow. I met my neighbor who bought a 990 right after us and he was working on his new Superhitch and looking at it I see why the cost! That thing is a monster! So, if I get worried I'll buy one but for now I think this will work.

Last pic :) We left Sunday after lunch and then the rain started but man what a beautiful morning it was before then! We hiked up the hill again and around the area and I tossed a line in the water and in general just had a great weekend. It was too short but we're looking forward to the next!!!
Cheers
