TC shifted

Check with another dealer that has the ability to work on box trucks. There is no reason the camper must come off for the truck to be serviced except that they don't have a way to pick it up due to the clearance. The place that can work on box trucks will either have a pit they can pull over or are just willing to crawl under the vehicle.

However, if you do just want to remove it, there is nothing you need to be worried about except making sure the truck doesn't catch on anything. Trick is to take it real easy and stop the second you notice the camper has caught on something.

Just make sure everything is disconnected from the truck and it should be on reasonably level ground.
It is much safer to have someone spotting for you to make sure you don't drag the camper.
Some campers move around while traveling.
You should not have a bed liner and you should have a rubber bed mat under it. Some folks use horse stall mats but they are heavy and hard to handle. The pick op bed mats are much easier to handle.

When I had my TC I cut some wooden blocks for each corner.

It's interesting how each state is different. In AZ privately owned vehicles only go through emssions testing - nothing else. What type of inspection is required in your state?

I'd find a shop that doesn't make you remove it.
Shifting a little is no big deal. If you don't have a rubber mat under the camper get one.

What year is your truck? I have heard of dealers doing that on newer trucks as it is easier to lift the cab to do the service. If it is older, or the cab does not lift then I would find another service place.

That's silly. My previous truck had a complete brake job done with camper mounted!

i had my tires rotated with my camper still on.

Remember, if it's a Ford the cab has to come off the chassis to check the oil.
