- Gary3ExplorerI think most of the new campers are using that new slide system so now we hear of a problem with it.
- K_MacExplorerHey Jfet, If you could design my TC to be a Toy hauler, then I would be able to have my boat with me also, till then I'll stick to my no slide TC.Thanks K Mac
- Pathfinder450ExplorerHello, I love my Ford F-450 truck and the Chalet TS-116 camper too. I would go with the diesel just the same if a gas was being offered. My camper weighs in at 4500+ lbs. the diesel has no problems with hauling it up a snowy mountain road. My 2012 is just about the same as the 2014 are except for minor changes. The only thing that has been a problem for me are the slide outs had a problem with the motors and wiring causing the slide outs not to slide back in. They were made by Lippert Components. Why they don't have some kind of manual gear to slide them back in is beyond me. If I were to get one again I would ask them about the problems with the slide outs and ask them if they have some kind of manual over ride to get them back in. I've been way out in the boonies and the slide outs wouldn't get back in! Major BUMMER!! :S :M At the time they didn't have the 4th slide out in the sleeping area. Seeing that does give a little bit more room for cabinet space for clothing.

Well, I have two slides, an Eagle Cap 1160, sofa, dry bath, dinette, two door fridge, loads of storage, 80 gallons of water, 3 batteries, and the all important SOFA, used every day, together. Enjoy your TC'n.

Size wise would make an awesome 5th wheel.
You could add a couch to your camper and get rid of the dinette, and install a nice couch with recliners, cheaper than buying a new unit - 69_AvionExplorerThat 4 slide camper isn't looking for a one ton truck. It needs a F-550. LOL

Go vertical with a Hi-Lo style roof. The cabover now becomes a second room and the loft over the the truck bed is master bedroom.
Ok, I added that good suggestion. You don't think 8 slides is getting a bit much, do you?
To funny, but this kind of out of the "box" thinking is where great innovation comes from, some camper designer may think your telescoping slide idea is worth pursuing
Do you think a telescoping slide that has the door way in it, that projects downward , so stair could be in in is at all possible?
A slide on that side seems in order for balance
Or would that be to much
