Just a random (and wistful) thought: at first, we were going to load up the TC and camp our way to FL for the winter (we own a snowbird condo). A Tropical Storm was messing with our plans - so at the last minute we decided to hurry and beat the storm to FL, and left the TC at home :-(Now, as we wait and hope to receive our Covid vaccinations - Volusia county to our north is vaccinating on a first-come/first served basis. People are lining up at 1 AM, hoping to score a shot administered at 8 AM. Sleeping/waiting in our camperless truck along with 2 dogs doesn't sound like fun....but if we had the TC along, I would give the FC/FS system a go! The TC would fit into a regular parking space, and offer us a comfy place to sleep, and a restroom, etc.I'm just throwing that thought out there for the rest of you....

I won't waste my time waiting in line for an unproven vaccine with questionable side-effects, kind of like not buying a new car in it's first production year until the kinks are worked out. I'll give it some time to prove itself before I partake. Even with the vaccine, people still have to wear masks and follow the protocols.

Glad to hear you guys went South this winter. We stayed up North but so far it hasn't been bad (Green Grass here!). You can always go to Walmart and buy a tent and a couple of sleeping bags and make it a real adventure. hehehehe

I have seen no lines for anything from the hospitals here. Today is my two weeks and one day anniversary of my covid 19 diagnosis from fish hospital in Orange city. I was there an hour and a half with a 103.6 degree fever. They swabbed me, reduced my fever and sent me home to isolate for ten days. There were no lines.... Went back this last Monday for the blood work for the antibodies check and there were no lines... Not being snarky just giving you first hand experience, believe it or not.This conversation is going to balloon into a locked forum post. I can see into the future too. LOL Good luck my friend.

Check with the waiting committee first. Lot of waiting lines require actual person to stand/sit in it, so sleeping in TC might not count. We recover from Covid in November. Regardless our age, we had very mild symptoms, but our family in Europe members were on on the edge of intensive care, regardless 20 to 45 years of age. Strange that some jurisdictions give the vaccine on first come basis, when in other jurisdiction high-risk people are put on long wait.

The carports they have setup in the drive-through vaccination sites here aren't tall enough for a TC. Plus they are calling people and scheduling them in an organized fashion, not making it a free-for-all.Otherwise, a very intriguing idea. Until people start showing up in their Class A's and C's, setting up popup trailers, etc..

Attitude, gratitude, hope and believing are all very powerful.

If my immune system can kill cancer I believe a virus doesn't stand a chance.

I guess I'm doing my part, kind of like doing a clinical trial.

No way to know where this goes, but I'm sure there will be certain activities that will require you to show proof of being vaccinated, airlines and cruise ships for example.....concerts and sporting events......but that's ok because there will still plenty of other things to do which won't require a vaccine, like rioting, looting and city burning...

I’m not at all against vaccinations, but proof of this one is well on its way to becoming the latest form of virtue signaling.

We may very well find our society with a new, permanent underclass of “untouchables” soon.

I've had aggressive Stage IV cancer. It was cured by building my immune system to kill the cancer rather than destroying my immune system and everything else to kill the cancer.

If people feel that will benefit from it then by all means go for it.

I totally agree with you.

All three of these ladies are front line workers in a hospital and they just got their 2nd dose. I have known two of them for over 10 years.

When I started volunteering there several years ago they did some blood work on me to determine what vaccine's I'd had because I had no idea what vaccinations I got when I was in elementary school. That was a long time ago. ;)

I'd missed a big one and I'd never had a flu shot. So I agreed to get them so I didn't have to wear a mask while volunteering.

The vaccinations went on my medical record but I was never given a piece of paper stating that I had received them.

What is it that they're holding?? Is it something that they need to carry with them to prove they received the Covid 19 vaccination??

My wife and I nicknamed what they're holding a "Freedom Card", because once you've gotten both shots, medical workers at least, are sent a laminated Covid vaccination proof card.

She's half way in on her vaccination already, Moderna vaccine for her.

Other than being fuzzy headed for a couple days (most of which she mitigated using plain old aspirin) and the injection site being sore in a similar fashion to a tetanus shot, she pretty much went back to normal after about a week.

The second dose is usually the one expected to cause a greater immune reaction than the first, where you potentially will have cold-like symptoms for a period afterwards.
