Tenting separating from frame

I just bought a used 2006 Kodiak Scamper 214 hybrid that had the same problem. There seems to be a design flaw with the tenting sewn into the plastic J-strip. It creates a serration in the plastic that tears when there is to much pressure applied. I just loosened the metal border in the area of the separation, tucked the tent hem in behind the remaining plastic, and drilled thru into the frame. I fastened with #8 screws with washers. Be sure to secure thru the reinforced tent hem. This is a low cost repair and seems very secure. Save yourself some money. Hope this helps
