The route was between Freemont and San Diego via the grapevine as per the published data. It used 94 percent of the battery to go 500 miles.
Truck was loaded to just under 82000 pounds as per presentation.
Was this independently checked by a 3rd party? How big was the battery? Was the battery size independently checked by a 3rd party?
Were any of the weights independently checked by a 3rd party? There are several commercial truck scales that are mandatory to go over on this route. Do you know if they showed the actual weight ticket with the time and date printed on the ticket? If not, why not?
Was ANYTHING checked by a 3rd independent party? If not, non of this means anything.
I agree that I would like to see an independent assessment. Let's give one to TFL.
I would like to see this trip in reverse. Let's make sure it can go 500 miles in two directions.
Let's see this vehicle in operation in Ohio, Indiana, or anyplace that is currently near freezing.
And I hope the taxpayers appreciate this. I read that they are paying $15.4 Million for Pepsi to have this.
And I hope you approve of the $40,000 per every semi coming from the Federal Government. That would be like giving 4 people $10k towards their student loans.
While I agree w you wholeheartedly, at least it’s not the worst or most wasteful thing our govt subsidizes! Doesn’t even make the top 10.
