There is some stupid commercial right now that ups the ante a little bit... they add that if your last name is A-M you can call today, if your last name is O-Z you can call tomorrow at 0900 hours. I PROMISE you that some idiot truly thinks its some amazing product and is just devastated that they have to wait until TOMORROW to order it...

I really doubt that anything made with the name of Tesla to save electricity is anything but, a gimmick.

At my home the electric meter is right outside our bedroom wall. The little wire seal thingy on the meter made enough noise when the wind blew that I could hear it at night so I went out and put electrical tape around it so it wouldn't move. Sure enough, next month I start hearing it again. Went out to check it and a new seal had been installed by the meter reader. Believe me, they take tampering and theft of services very seriously. I managed to catch the reader on his next visit and tell him why I put tape on the seal. He said he had thought it had been cut and had to check it to be sure no funny business was going on but will be ok with it seeing I told him why.
